Acatour returned to winning form at black type level a fortnight ago and has been confirmed in the 2017 Frank Packer Plate field.

Acatour has produced a number of commendable efforts through a total on nine career starts so far, but took a couple of runs to find his best form upon resuming this time.

Placing seventh in the Group 2 Hobartville Stakes (1400m) first-up on February 18th, the Sebring colt ran eighth in the Group 1 Randwick Guineas (1600m) on March 4th, but responded with a dominant and near-four length win in the Group 3 Carbine Club Stakes (1600m) on April 1st.

Drawn ideally in barrier 2, Acatour has been confirmed to be partnered by Blake Shinn once more when he takes his place in the Frank Packer Plate field.

Veladero has steadily built to the task this time and has drawn into the Frank Packer Plate field on the rails, with Hugh Bowman aboard.

Running a pleasing fourth in the It’s On In Sydney BM82 (1400m) first-up on February 4th, Veladero failed to produce much when he beat only one runner home in the Hobartville Stakes a fortnight later.

Again finishing eighth in the TAB.com.au Handicap (1900m) on March 11th, the Medaglia D’Oro colt was last seen running third after leading in the Carbine Club Stakes a fortnight ago.

Captain Duffy has performed admirably this time in and should relish the conditions of the Frank Packer Plate as a fourth point of call on Saturday.

Running ninth in the Group 3 Spring Stakes (1600m) first-up on February 13th, the King Cugat colt did not handle the heavy conditions in the Randwick Guineas second-up, but ran well for third in the Group 2 Tulloch Stakes (2000m) last time out on March 25th.

James Cummings will launch a two-pronged attack in the Frank Packer Plate after confirming both Rock And Swing and Rokda Kasba for starts.

Rock And Swing has only made five appearances at the races since debuting and was last seen running a credible fifth in the Tulloch Stakes.

Rokda Kasba will carry winning form into the Frank Packer Plate after breaking his maiden in the Job Centre Australia Plate (2100m) last time out on April 6th.
