The 2016 Frank Packer Plate is a Group 3 horse race for three-year-old thoroughbreds, the race dates back to the late 1800s when Sir Frank Packer founded the event. It is held on an annual basis at the Royal Randwick Racecourse in April, with the beautiful track offcourse hosting the 2,000 metre event, and providing a lovely setting.

The Frank Packer Plate is run under set weight conditions and has a handsome purse of $150,000 on offer to its participants.
